Forest Symphony 2010

Get ready for the magic!

Metro Vancouver has put together a fantastic - and can we say *romantic* - event on Friday July 23rd from 5:30 - 7:30pm at the Spirit Regional Park. Musicians will be placed throughout the forest playing music and people are invited to wander the pathways and take in the super beauty combo of superb music and natural splendor.

Hey Lisa and Andrew,

I've started a green team at the office and so far a couple people have joined and we're really excited to get going -  but my question is how do we motivate other people to get interested in joining our team and participating in our initiatives? Thanks so much!

More to love after the jump!

Growing City is proud to be a part-sponsor of the upcoming West End Seniors' Network's 20th annual Strawberry Festival! We'll be Compo-Captaining during the event, so come by and say hi when you hand off your compostable plates (we know there won't be any leftovers from the famous Strawberry Shortcake!)

This festival brings the West End community together in fun and also helps to raise money for important senior services. So - bring out the kiddies, join the cake walk, and support our seniors!

More details after the jump.

North Shore Sustainability Dialogue

What to learn more about sustainable urban development? We do!

This Saturday, Legacy North Shore will be hosting a panel discussion and presentation that could help answer some questions you have about how we can develop our communities sustainably.

The panellists include Dr. Freda Pagani; former Director of Sustainability Office UBC, Councillor Guy Heywood and City of North Vancouver Martin Kruysse, Economic Development Officer, District of North Vancouver.

These cats know what they're talking about, so we're really curious to hear how they envision the North Shore of the future!
